Valentine Scratch Off Coupons, DIY!!

Hi everyone... today I wanted to share with you some fun and simple DIY Scratch off Valentines Coupons!  Now you can really use this concept for just about anything...but since Valentines Day is just around the corner, I opted to make some fun Coupons for the hubby!
Now I won't lie...these do take some planning.... the actual making of them is a piece of cake..but the planning is VERY important!
So gather around the supplies you will need which are:
Metallic Paint, Clear Dish soap, Rubber stamps, Packing Tape,Painters Tape, all the paper and dies and embellies you plan to use.

This first thing you need to do is come up with some sort of "template" for your coupons/card etc.  You need to do this important step so you know where things will be layed out so you know where to put your Scratch Off Part.  I just created on my computer a simple plain Coupon template.. that has a box for my scratch off (planning comes in handy cause you need to know which stamps you plan to use to make sure your box is the right size!)

Nest you need to stamp what your coupon is good for.  In my examples, I am offering up Dinner on Me, A Good Lunch, Something Pretty, The Movies, etc.  I had all these wonderful stamps on the JB Gift Card Galore Set.

Next you need to mask off the area that will be your "scratch Off" with your packing tape.  I used an exact-o knife to make it the exact square of my window.

Next you need to take some PAINTERS tape and mask around your area so when you paint it..it doesnt get on the Coupon part of your card. Then you need to mix 2 Parts Paint to 1 Part Dish Soap.... mix it WELL and then do a light coat over your window area.
THE HARD PART?  Letting each coat dry in between...YES it takes several coats... so don't rush it..do a thin coat, allow it to dry..then apply another and another!!
Once your paint is completely dry... peel off your painters tape... decorate your coupon card with stamps, dies, embellishments, etc...and your final project looks something like this!

All Stamps and Dies are from Jaded Blossom.  We used Gift Cards Galore,  Simple Sayings Valentine Editions,  and Valentines Die.
